so i'm a newcastle united fan and we were robbed in overly long extra time, where the referee only ended when psg equalised, crushing our hopes of knockout UCL but we are very likely to secure europa league football, thing is though, i'm not exactly keen on swapping out playing milan and dortmund for maccabi haifa and sheriff tiraspol, anyone relate or able to convince me to be motivated about europa league?

Imagine not being in Europe for 10 years and then not wanting to watching your club in Europe

Especially when winning the Europa League could well be Newcastle's best chance to get back into the Champions League next season. They are far from guaranteed another top 4 spot but realistically could beat pretty much anyone in the EL in knockout football.

Does winning the Europa League still guarantees you a spot for the CL with the new system?

That's a good point, not sure if the new structure will change that or not. It would be stupid if not as for teams playing in the UEL and UECL the opportunity to qualify for the next tournament up is a bigger prize than the actual trophy or prize money awarded.

My dad calls it fast-tracked entitlement.

This.

Absolute peak entitled, spoilt, oil money, sport washer behaviour.

Waaah we got beaten by another oil rich club, I don't want us to play with the poor teams.
