You can definitely feel it.

Scotty, divert power to stabilizers.

Are you watching Strange New Worlds?

As a diehard Trekkie since 1987, I can say it’s already one of my top 3 shows

[–] _finger_@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

A. They have a live orchestra performing quite a bit of the score, like old Trek. Makes a difference

B. They’re having fun

C. The characters work

D. Pike is sexy af

It’s a great Trek show.

Pike is just “ok”. His hair, on the other hand…

Hard agree, first true trek we got after 2000

[–] deweydecibel@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Lower Decks and Prodigy aren't standard Trek but they're both fantastic, too.

Not OP but you just convinced me to give Strange New Worlds a try, so thanks!

Same, it's downloading now haha.

What do you think so far? I've been loving Strange New Worlds!

[–] AzuleBlade@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I haven't had a chance to watch any episodes yet, but it looks pretty interesting. The kids like to hog the TVs on summer break haha.

[–] snowyday@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hooray! Let me know what you think

Came back to this thread to say I LOVE Strange New Worlds so far! I liked Picard well enough, but just couldn't get into Discovery after a couple tries, though I can't articulate why (???). SNW seems to hit just right.
