yknow one of the most recent glaring incidents (in the media) of this I recall recently, was when certain people tried to shame the governor of montana for how he was portraying native americans. They wouldn;t put the quote in the articles though, had to go out of my way. He was talking about having a good time at a (reservation) branding getting drunk with Indians, not a single part of it was insulting to anyone who'd ever been to a branding, white or indian, these are parties where you do start drinking heavy around noon, by the time the work is done, everyone has a good buzz going on and then the party starts.
