My father's parents were told by a doctor that he'd die from his polio infection. He somehow survived and thus I was born. My mother remembers getting the polio vaccine as a little girl, when it was new.

I hate antivaxxers with every shred of my being. Selfish, uneducated, conspiratorial assholes.
