Damn thats fascinating. I want to see a macro shot so bad lol (I saw a video on CD printing a while ago with some very good shots, I love this stuff). Ive always wondered if its possible to repair the reflective label surface, but I know nothing about DL disks
Edit: I think I see what you mean now, there's the two colours one for each layer right?
I don't think you can see the layers? Any colouration is just the disc reflecting my walls, lol. The "layer change" is just the laser changing focus to read a second metal layer of data behind the visible one.
I doubt you'd be able to fix it, best just burning a whole new disc or finding another one lol. Interview with the Racist here is on Bluray anyway :3
