These editions can't be cheap to produce, I've just found out this set is $170!! I wish they would produce cheaper sets without the physical extras.
Physical media is a niche industry now. A company like Imprint would have purchased the rights to this movie in a batch that included other movies that aren't as popular. A movie with this much name recognition is like the Christmas season for them, so they need to produce deluxe sets like these to recoup their investment on the entire batch and turn an outsized profit to fund all the other less well-known films they want to release.
Don't worry, there will definitely be a regular edition at a later date (possibly without the extended cut, likely without all the extra Blu-ray discs). They'll want to sell as many copies of this movie as possible.
