Just finished the first week of a new semester. I have some disrespectful students in my class that find pleasure out of putting me and their classmates down. This is the first time I've had to deal with this level of "high school vibes" from people who are supposed to be adults. Sooooo wish me luck as I try and figure out how to handle that I guess
good luck!
Thaaanks!
I hope that shit stops for you, good luck again and you're welcome
I also hope it stops. I avoided teaching high school specifically to avoid this kind of behavior, and I'm not sure what I'm to do if I can't get it to stop this semester. Not sure if my sanity would be able to handle that.
Would there be any orher staff that could give you tips on what to do? That situation can be tough, I had it rough in high school from bullying and home life, but there were also students that would give rhe staff a hard time too and it was stressful for all involved I'm hoping it stops for your sake and for the other classmates
I looked it up and there is someone I can refer students to on campus, but I don't really know what that looks like after I do so. I guess it's worth a try if it keeps up.
It's a tricky situation and a little daunting. I hope they settle down
