"Even if it's not an act of violence, and it appears peaceful, but it's a violation of the law, blocking roadways, blocking venues, things of that nature, we will declare mass arrests in those situations and make those arrests," Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling said.

What if, instead of showing up to the convention, they all went to the hotels and houses where the DNC members were staying?

Might be more effective, and could possibly foul the PD's plans.

Just have someone pushing every single button on the elevators for a whole week

Pull hotel fire alarms every night at midnight, flatten their rental tires at dawn, set off fireworks outside the security perimeter of the convention, show them no peace for their injustice.

Of course if any of these actions are illegal, please exclude them from any plan of action and please stick to legal forms of protest that won't penalize yourself or others.

The police would suddenly be experts about vagrancy laws. I seriously wonder how many minutes a protestor could peacefully be in a hotel lobby until the cops decided it's time for them to get arrested.
