I would get the 12 because I love the flat sides and MagSafe.

I don't particularly care about the OLED screen since the difference between top-class LCD and top-class OLED is a small difference to me - I own a 27" Apple Studio Display and a 65" LG OLED and I never feel like I'm missing out when I'm on my computer.

SMS is “texting”. The same shit that has been around since cell phones.

Think of iMessage, Discord, WhatsApp, etc. as RCS or “messaging”

When Android and iOS text each other, it all sends as SMS. That means no read/delivery receipts, low quality picture/video messaging, no typing indicators, no encryption, etc.

People in the US don’t like to use 3rd party apps. So when iOS and Android “text” one another, they’re being sent as SMS. “Messaging” apps like iMessage, Discord, WhatsApp, etc are all modern texting apps with lots of features and conveniences. Apple supporting RCS will finally bridge the gap between texting and messaging.

The color of the bubble isn't the problem. iMessage uses a green bubble as a indicator that your iMessages are being sent as SMS, which is an old, terrible standard.

Imagine if 90% of people used WhatsApp/Discord but 10% of people are using the default messaging app on their phone. Those 10% of people are causing you to have shitty video/picture messaging. No typing indicators. No read receipts. No delivery confirmation. No in-line replies. Now imagine if you're in a group chat with several people, but that ONE person causes ALL of you to have those limitations. The group would be pissed off at that one person. That's blue bubble/green bubble bullying.

The problem isn’t the bubble color. Green tells the iOS user that the recipient is receiving an SMS text which fucks up all “messaging” functionality that has become commonplace on iMessage/WhatsApp, Discord, etc.
