A more robust tagging system makes blocking what you don't want to see easier and less disruptive to your experience.

You're right; I deserve the downvote.

I used DDG for a few years, but now I can't stand it anymore. The search results are so bad. I could scroll to the end of the results and not find a single website I'd trust enough to cite as a reliable source. It's all irrelevant SEO trash.

Also, search syntax doesn't work! I could do the ol' site:reddit trick, but - would never exclude results with a term, "" would never guarantee results with a term, and + sure as hell didn't work either.

I reluctantly switched to Brave. The search results are better, but I don't trust it very much since it started redirecting image searches to Bing or Google. I will likely move to Kagi.

Hnngghh, no bot-generated SEO trash is a good reason for me to spend my money...

That second tweet is a bit concerning, though. Let's not forget that many ADHD meds are addicting to non-ADHD brains.

I'm hoping that the ability to migrate accounts across instances will become a thing in the future, for situations like that. It would help reduce the pressure to stay in one place because you've put so much time into it, which is one of the most unhealthy traits of social media imo.

As a fellow artist, I'd love to say otherwise, but sometimes we have to admit that not all platforms are built for growing your art business. Sure, you can probably get away with plugging links to your patreon/etsy every time you share your work, but you're not going to get very much revenue from it. You'll be squeezing a square block into a triangular hole.

It's not that artists aren't welcome, it's just that the threadiverse (and reddit by extension) wasn't designed for the purposes you're describing, so you're not going to find the success you're looking for. There's nothing wrong with finding another platform that suits your needs better.

Great art! I love G'raha. Though, isn't this the wrong magazine to be posting him to?

I've been thinking about making my own neocities website to blog and share my creative works.
