My wife and I joke about this, if we split up we'd probably still be roommates forever raising the kids together. There's no other way to afford living.

Hopefully it's thawed already because it will take two days to thaw all the way through in the fridge. 13 pounds is huge in the slow cooker, and should take about 13-14 hours on low or about 11-12 hours on high. Yes, in general those who have attained college degrees are more likely to vote Democratic and those who have attained just a high school diploma are more likely to vote Republican. There is a clear divide where the more educated cohort of society leans Democratic.

Not mine but I had a Dutch professor who would say "it's like washing duck's feet" to refer to something that was a pointless exercise or wasted effort. I always thought it was funny but can't find anything on the Internet about it now so perhaps it's not very common.
