having the digital and the physical version of the game have vastly different content in their deluxe version.
I got hit with this one relatively recently from Monark on the switch.
so, I bought it physical and I was told I was buying the deluxe version and the deluxe version is supposed to have all the downloadable content. this was the Amazon listing by the actual company Who made it.
as it turns out, only the digital deluxe version has all the downloadable content.
the deluxe physical version just has a manual and they want me to pay more cash for the DLC.
yeah, this BS should be resulting in a crap load of lawsuits, but us Gamers just kind of sit there and take it -- just like we always do :-(
at this point, I'm not buying the DLC content for that one just out of spite, even though I probably would like it. way I see it, I've already paid.
games that release that in a condition where you could have good graphics or good performance - but not both.
are literally checkboxes in the settings for this.
and of course all the screenshots that they advertise the game in question with is going to come from the good graphics with the low performance setting.
side note: Game companies need to stop advertising using screenshots and videos from the best graphical edition of their game --usually a PC or Xbox X version --on machines that couldn't possibly match that graphical power --that's usually the switch although I have seen people talking about the same thing happening in mobile games as well when there's a mobile version of a console/PC game.
this kind of thing is straight up fraud in my opinion.
