Personally, I don't this will have much success because titok is driven by algorithms and influencers...it's built for lazy scrolling consumers that follow the latest trends. People that use it don't care about the data privacy or ethics of it, they just want to know what the latest song or dance craze is ... Add to that ease of use to add graphics and music tracks. Also reach is everything.

Subsidies are another way to say State planning, which is how you direct the "free market". No capitalist, which includes China, will "innovate" without being baited with money.

There are massive subsidies in the US as well, but these go into the pockets of the CEOs and political/financial class. If this were to happen in China they'd go missing like Jack Ma of Alibaba until he got his head right.

Well regardless, the world needs alternatives that are outside of restrictive US patent law and large monopolistic control. Thank god for pioneers:)
