you can set the watch in the watch app under clock to mirror phone alerts. then if you set an alarm on the phone it will also go off on the watch. it doesn't work the other way though. alarms set on the watch only go off on the watch.

get a sport loop for it. great for small wrists because you don't have to worry about fitting a hole. you just pull the strap tight and velcro it. and they fit even very tiny wrists.

the watch has been updated beyond the phone's capacity. that compatibility you looked up was from when the watch 6 was new. a watch that has been updated can't pair to a phone that won't run iOS 17.
