It is a bit strange that they're allowed to compete in Europe. I get why it is the way it is but you'd think that they would compete in the Asian stuff. Also, I don't get why an active aggressor still gets to continue doing stuff like this. Russia is being banned but not Isreal?

I suppose, but you can't try to keep them in check if you don't want to be labeled as a nazi country. Warmonger Bibi is very quick to point fingers when jews are involved.

It's truly crazy how much of the more rural parts of the US are basically a third world country

Dude I can't believe that this shit happened in our capital... I'm very disappointed in our local government, police and inhabitants that took part in everything that happened. It really feels like the world is sliding towards a massive conflict at a rapid rate now.

Unless they change the rules, Trump cannot have another term. I'd honestly be surprised if he survives all the way until 2028 anyway, he's already ancient and pretty unhealthy. Add to that that people might try and take matters into their own hands and you get a pretty dangerous mix. I'm not sure if JD stepping in would be better though, he seems even crazier and definitely more insidious than the orange man.

As a Dutch person we'd happily welcome the more sensible Americans over here 🙂. I can't guarantee our government wouldn't try to stop a mass migration wave given their anti-immigrant policies though.

It's funny, my partner and I were actually talking about moving to the US for a while to spend more time with my American in-laws but I think that'll be out of the window for the next four years.

I'd say most north eastern EU countries (Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, most of Scandinavia) is safe right now. The Netherlands (where I live) has been right-leaning for a while now and even though it got worse this past election the focus is mainly on nationallism and anti-immigrant policies at the moment.

Is there any chance that shit was rigged this time around? As an outsider it's honestly just crazy to me that the difference can be so huge, almost unimaginable.

But but... You can only have inflation when the dems are in charge right? Just look at Biden, he caused SO much inflation last time /s

It depends on the country you're in I guess but I would say that generally speaking the EU right wing parties are a bit less extreme than Trump appears to be going to be this time around. I don't know of any EU countries where they are planning to get rid of all immigrants among other things. Tbh, the person you can compare Trump to most is Hitler. And he has compared himself to Hitler too, which makes it even more crazy.
