Sharing that it's possible to make mini pc's portable via powerbank.

Setup:

Mini PC: Beelink SER5 Pro AMD Ryzen 7 5700U 32GB RAM 1TB SSD Windows 11 Pro Mini PC

  • bought at Datablitz at ₱18,495.00
  • Updated OS to Manjaro. Not recommended as this may void the warranty, pero malupet lang talaga hate ko sa Win11 so I risked it.

Portable Monitor: SZHOESD.a 14inch Portable Monitor FHD 1080P External Display With Dual Speakers

  • bought at Lazada at ₱2,905.00 (used vouchers. Regular price is ₱3,799.00)

Powerbank: Romoss PMT40 40000mAh Portable Powerbank 65W PD Fast Charging

  • bought at Lazada at ₱3,299.00 (can use vouchers + coins, so this can be get at a lower price)

Cord: BAVIN CB229 100W PD Fast Charging Cable Quick 5A USB Type C to Type

  • bought at Lazada at ₱312.62 (can use vouchers + coins, so this can be get at a lower price)

DC Converter: 100W USB Type C Fast Charging Adapter Plug Connector Universal USB C (5.5-2.5mm)

  • bought at Lazada Bundle and Save at ₱162.21
  • either there's a bug or seller doesn't want to sell this kasi ₱48,417.67 na lumalabas na price. ¯_(ツ)_//¯
  • TechnoAmp sells this, pero out of stock nung bumili ako

Mouse+Keyboard: GOOJODOQ Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard with Number Pad 2.4G Mode Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set

  • bought at Lazada at ₱838.00
  • I suggest to wait for their flash sale since this can go as low as ₱600.00++
  • I really like 2.4gHz + Bluetooth keyboard mouse combo kasi I can use this for my personal computer AND work laptop. Tapos I have a HDMI switcher so I can also use one monitor. I had a RAPOO set pero natapunan ko ng kape and this was cheaper.

Total: ₱26,011.83

Pros:

  • Parts can be mixed and matched with other PCs/gadgets. I can reuse the portable monitor when I work in the office, reuse the powerbank/cord to power my other gadgets, keyboard+mouse for my other PCs.
  • Affordable. Maganda na yung specs nya for the price. One can also buy less pricier mini pc like a vanilla Beelink SER5 (priced at ₱13,995.00).

Cons:

  • Ang weird ng form factor vs a laptop.
  • Ang daming kelangan dalin and mabigat yung powerbank
  • Not really for hardcore gaming kasi underpowered yung CPU + lack of GPU

I probably won't use my Beelink in this manner kasi may NextFun Tablet/Laptop hybrid ako, but just wanted to show that this is a possibility.

Wow. A legit /MurderedByWords. Very rare even on reddit.

Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.2 touch support works perfectly with my Asus T100 "tablet" (I lost the keyboard dock). Also, I specified the version because LM v21.2+ removed the traditional panel option (taskbar with labels), like what MS did to Win11 :(

For manhwa readers, Antagonist's pet is so much this!! Arth's okay, but they did Rebecca dirty. :(

Wasn't there a lawyer lady on reddit that sued Airbnb because she rented a studio unit that had indoor cameras? I following her posts until reddit decided to kill Infinity.

I just had this working on side loading apps outside the Amazon Appstore and one major reason why I still have a Windows 11. Oh well, thanks Microsoft for helping decide to migrate my last pc to Linux.

That's a great option for her. Should Windows push a crappy update, she'll still be able to use her computer.

My Lenovo Flex was okay at Win10. But I made the mistake of updating it to Win11 and it became a potato. I like my taskbar to never combine and at the right side of the screen so I could see all my open windows. Win11 killed that and I'm too much of a dinosaur to adjust to the "dock" taskbar type.

I added 2 to that count this week!

I resurrected my Asus T100TA tablet/laptop that got killed by Windows10 and installed Linux Mint. I can now stream the seas in the comfort of my TV.

Then updated my Lenovo Flex from Win11 to Kubuntu. I used to play Android games via LD Player and it was so slow in Win11. But with Kubuntu+Waydroid, I was able to play my mmorpg game at the highest setting without lag!

My vet recommended feeding my cats once a day when they turned 1yo. It was a very noisy transition from being free fed as kittens to only eating once a day.

We all found our happy place by feeding them dry food in the mornings and pudding treats in the evening (its mostly water! < is what I tell to my vet). My vet is happy that my cats are at a healthy weight, my family is happy that we no longer hear the song of our cats' people at 3am, my cats are happy that they get to eat treats.

Also they don't vomit anymore and don't leave any leftovers since they know that it's the next day before they can eat big again. We were able to maintain their weight at 3.8kg for 6mos now since we started this diet.

Thank you! I was curious why someone would use Azure DevOps for their homelab. Lol.

My workaround on this is to split screen firefox and the app I need to open (ex. password manager).

I've been using mine wrong, I use my analog watch as a mouse bed so I won't appear away in teams. Lol
