There is basically zero chance Microsoft overtakes Steam, too. It's just too established at this point and isn't going anywhere.

This. I don't necessarily NEED the physical media but I do prefer it. It's the sole reason I bought a disc-based PS5. I want to own my games.

Sony has a much better track record on creating great games and hardware. I prefer to keep Microsoft as far away from the Playstation as possible.
