I was wrong, and it was a guess using context clues from the post I was replying too.
I didn't "make it up", I was just incorrect.

Days late, but my first ever Fediverse experience was a Linux dude's pro-trans post that was cool, but then the comments were spammed with "N-word bot"( not written that way) shouting exactly what the name suggested, with tons of people cheering it on. It was the main reason I avoided it over here for a bit.
So theres absolutely shitty people here too, as in any community, but therer does seem to be less so far.
It leads you through 3-4 different pages, hides the "Yes, cancel" button in different areas, and gives a lot of "Keep subscription" buttons with different wording.
It's not difficult, but at multiple steps you think you're done but your not. I had an issue a month or so back where I thought I canceled, until I saw a prime charge on my account. I imagine for someone not used to some of the tactics it's pretty bad.
They've been saying they were going to add/fix things for the last 6 years while actively ignoring mods lmao, I doubt they're gonna change that.
Oh the ml in lemmy.ml is Marxist lenonist. That makes a lot of sense actually
Incredibly hyped. Sync is the only reason I've been able to use Reddit for yeeeears, and seeing it moving to Lemmy really sealed the deal
I mean, if Lemmy.world doesn't when they decide to try and move in, I'll just move on to the next site that does. Prolly Lemmy.ml
