Are you implying that the McDonald's in Europe don't do this either? It's extremely standard practice in the food industry and has been for a while.

I wonder how it affected the kid. I don't know the grade school culture these days but when I was his age I think it would've earned sympathy points from the whole class and boosted his social ranking lol. As an aside I do not miss that aspect of school lol

I'm sure it works that way but I deleted my account long ago. Instead of curation I get rawdog reddit lol

My dipshit cat tries to jump in the oven while I'm baking. I love her with all my heart but damn she is not a thinker sometimes

Idk about peanut rubber but I remember learning about dandelion rubber that was used for tank treads among other things. Guess there's a lot of plants that can get turned into rubber if you're desperate enough!

This drone shit has the UFO communities online going even more bonkers than usual. I saw a video earlier of a drone shooting off a firework rocket and every comment was shockingly credulous. They were declaring that it was a UFO being shot down by AA guns, or that it was UFO-UFO aerial combat, or that it was a show of strength from the aliens. A couple people dissented and pointed out that it was very obviously fireworks attached to a regular ass drone, and were accused of being disinformation agents or government bots. The vibe was one of terror, many of the comments saying explicitly that they were scared and that "something huge is coming." All that over a video of a firework rocket being launched from a drone, which conveniently had no sound included so you couldn't hear the obvious whirrrr and POP crackle of the very human, very commonplace technology on display.

More like banning church bells because the minaret is used to call Muslims to prayer

Life imprisonment over a few ounces of stinky flower buds. Absolute insanity
