I love a good burger, but the wife isn't so keen. Burgers are now a treat for me.. Honest Burger is my go-to chain for 'It's pretty good'.

I put the green (it's green for garden waste here) bin out on Friday and they emptied it, which I consider a win given all the local politics about strikes and stuff.

Recovering after spending the day at St Pauls Carnival (Bristol) yesterday. I was out most of the day and into the evening. By the end there were rivers of piss running down the roads. It was a good day but I don't envy those tasked with the clean-up.

I had my ear plugs in and it was still super loud when near the sound systems. Some were great, some had so much bass it drowned out everything else. I don't understand how people can stand right next to the speakers (well.. I assume drugs).

Not sure what to do today, although I think dinner is going to involve jacket spuds.

The Elton John set last night was fantastic. Guns n Roses was basically just Slash doing his thing (Axl might as well not have turned up). Rick Astley was an absolute gem.

I haven't dived into the non-headliner stuff all that much yet.

The BBC loves Lizzo - they kept repeating her set over and over again.

I used to go out every weekend and find them, that was about 15 years ago. I haven't done one in ages, but I feel I am at a point in life where I am refocusing my hobbies again so GC might make a reoccurrence.

I'm trying to decide what to do at the moment. I was considering the beach, or possibly a bit of geocaching. I feel like I have been stuck in the house/office all week so it will be good to get out for some fresh air.

I tried a bit to get that going, but I don't think there was a lot of interest in people migrating from the other place. Shame :/

Bollocks, sometimes with a modifier:

Fucking bollocks Fucking load of bollocks Bollocky fuck twat What a load of bollocks Bollocks That's bollocks

Not sure I would consider that to be mildly infuriating.

I have come to the conclusion that no one knows what the weather will do today. Met Office are predicting downpours and thunderstorms but the app (for Bristol) is saying it will be cloudy or partially cloudy all day. Other apps give a similar confusing picture of what to expect.

But yes, I agree, at least it is cooling down a bit. If I could get the house to cool as well that would be great.

I was using my VPN all last week with Feddit, no issues.

I have this. It was annoying during the summers of 21 and 22 where people would think I may have covid when actually I sneezed because of a bright light.

I'm popping out to get a card this morning, and a stamp, and I'll have to sign it and post it before last post so it stands a chance of getting there only a little late.

Dad knows I am there for him when the shit hits the fan. He's visiting my sister tomorrow.
