I get where you are coming from, that it is a useful thing to have but sometimes self-doubt or insecurities can be debilitating and lead to inaction. It's should healthy medium like most things in life.

It's relatable and told in a humorous way, it kinda feels like a nice relative telling you a story as a kid

You need some intervention with that joke, someone's gotta step in before something bad happens.

I unbound quickload after accidentally finding out the button by erasing my last hour of progress... Had to call it a night that day after that

Spice it up with sriracha mayo on toasted bread. salt, pepper and a sprinkle of msg on tomato slices and add simple pickled pink onions. Slice the cabbage into very thin strips and assemble. It's my favourite sandwich.

Pickled onions: Red onions, sliced thinly, Boil 50/50 water and vinegar, add salt to the solution and optionally a bay leaf or other aromatics to create the brine. Put sliced onions in a jar and fill the jar with the brine, put it in the fridge after cooling down and wait a night for the sharp oniony taste to disappear.

I absolutely resonate with both your comments, it's the best function reddit served imo. The big mainstream subs were just content factories to create posts to doomscroll through.

In my opinion emojis are great for casual discussions and they convey a little playfulness.

For more serious topics they might be a little inappropriate or appear out of place for some people.

What's Reddit? I barely rememberddit

[–] Reoru@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

That's a pretty good idea

I implore you to rethink your usage of wide sweeping generalizations for the sake of an argument that fits your opinion. If we don't want Lemmy to turn into a negative cesspit like reddit we gotta focus on civil discussion instead of 'enrage to engage'.

The coffeine and chlorogenic acids (also found in eggplants, peaches and plums) in coffee stimulate the bowels which then can lead to bowel movement in some people.

That's a good point. Smaller niche communities with more personal connections will inevitably sprout when the 'main thing' hits a high user count.
