  1. It was supposedly almost completely done, but were forced to can the entire project due to politics and studio meddling. Now all that remains is a single trailer. Then the higher-ups took the name and slapped it on a new IP, which became Prey(2017).

Maybe Death Stranding 2 can introduce a cyborg ninja side character, who later gets their own legally distinct spinoff.
