Strategy games are great for busy adults imo. I like either Civilization or Factorio because you can compete or collaborate as desired, and in as much or as little time as you want.

Smells awful sure, but the taste is great. Like a slightly mustardy jackfruit.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

I've been posting chapters of that pokemon fanfic for a couple weeks now, do you like them? Should I keep doing it? They've all had a few upvotes but no comments, so I thought I'd check in.

Happy reading!

The point I was trying to convey is that the only democratic socialist countries that I'm aware of are rich off of either abundant natural resources or rent-seeking from more exploitative countries like the US. Is it a sustainable model for poor countries too? Historically they've fallen into autocracy. I want it to work everywhere because I believe in justice, but I can't prove it with math or precedent.

That global democratic socialism can work. Currently the only states successful in implementing it are oil-rich nordic countries, and I want to believe it can work elsewhere but it'll be hard to prove.

Yep! Just slice it thin so it cooks in the oven. I do about 2mm thick slices.

Empty communities are boring, so I've decided to get things bootstrapped with a regular series of posts from the world of Pokemon. This story by DaystarEld is one of my favorite stories, fan fiction or no, and it gave me a reason to revisit my childhood obsession which I always enjoy. Here's the premise:

Enter the world of Pokémon from a rational perspective. Instead of starting his journey in ignorance, Red has spent his years studying the creatures so central to his world... and he doesn't quite agree with all the information in his books. No time for rookie mistakes here: he's on a quest to discover the true nature of Pokémon, and maybe even find out where they really come from.

The series is ongoing, but was first published in 2013 so we'll start at the beginning. I plan to post next chapters on Tuesdays and Fridays. Enjoy!

I recently discovered flammkuchen, which is a thin crust pizza with creme fraiche instead of red sauce, bacon, caramelized onions, and potato. I can't get enough!

Her grip doesn't look quite right, maybe the symbol was swapped for the US market.

I'm sure they were safe about it

Could someone explain?

The Spine by Darren Korb and Ashley Barret, from the Transistor soundtrack. Not my kind of game honestly, I never finished it, but I keep coming back to the soundtrack ❤️
