Wait I'm confused... You're asking for a fan-made mod to be added to the Switch version of Stardew? πŸ€”

So it's an average of the different isotopes that can be found? That's interesting, I wonder how they work out that average. Do you have to take samples all over the world?

Yes the different states of ice is interesting! I also found it fascinating how the sodium would become transparent under enough pressure

I'm not sure about Vita, but there is a decent 3DS emulator (Citra). I haven't tested MGS3 on it

I saw a thumbnail, noped out of there and closed Lemmy for the day just to be safe. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with people ._.

First it's the ants, and now rodents aren't allowed to read? And sapient paper cups? Unbelievable

I started playing it years ago but quit after reaching the Strip - this time I will make sure to actually finish it! The writing is great and the quests are really memorable.

Biblically accurate machine guns

You better deliver on this...

Took me a minute

What made you give up? It's a very different game from the original of course. Graphically though it was beautiful I thought

Yeah true. 7 Remake (i.e. part 1) was good though and a decent length game in itself. Yes, it is a cash grab to milk one game like this. But at the same time if each part is an enjoyable game in itself, I don't see the issue. I'll wait for them to go on sale either way.

I was wondering if anyone has tried upgrading the textures on Skyrim? Is it possible to do this without affecting the performance too much on Steam Deck?

I actually haven't played the game since the original release, so if it's possible to run it now with extra enhancements that would be a great incentive for me to get back into it.

What mods would you recommend, and how hard is it to get them running?

So I'd heard lots of good things about this game and decided to finally give it a go. I picked up the PS3 HD collection, which includes Ico and SOTC.

From the get go, it felt like a frustrating experience. Very little is explained to you about how the mechanics of the game work. I found myself trying to grab ledges on the colossi that weren't intended.

The game clearly wants you to experiment to find out the different ways in which the colussi will react, but it's often such a slow process that it starts to feel like a chore for half of the battles. And often I was so close to a solution but some small thing would be off, so I'd try something else instead. Then it would turn out that I had it right the first time, I just needed to be standing a metre to the right. So many times the solution felt illogical.

And whilst holding on to the head of a colossus and getting that final hit in is extremely satisfying, on some occasions the window would be so small that I'd get shaken off and have to repeat the whole process to slowly chip away at its health. Knowing exactly what I needed to do, but having to do it multiple times soon became quite dull.

About half of the colossi were genuinely fun to fight. The bird one in particular stands out - soaring through the air as you climb along his wings was incredible.

I will say that the atmosphere, music and story were beautiful. It's a great piece of art. But a lot of people claim that this is one of the greatest games ever made, and I feel like the 'game' part is lacking quite a lot.

Is there something I'm missing? I actually enjoyed Ico a lot more.

It's my boyfriend's birthday next month and I wanted to buy him a plant he hasn't yet got. Currently we have:

  • Lots of monsteras
  • Syngonium
  • Pothos
  • Jades
  • Snake plants
  • String of hearts
  • Ferns (staghorn, blue star, boston)
  • Peace lilies
  • Rubber plant
  • Tradescantia
  • Spider plants

He particularly likes monsteras! But if there are any relatively easy to care for, or 'essential' house plants that it sounds like they'd fit well with what we already have I'd love to hear. Our house is pretty shady but there are certain areas that get a bit more sunlight in the afternoon. Thank you :)

Video taking a look at Anisotropic Conductive Film (and its use in LCD panels) under the microscope to see how it allows electrical current to run only in the desired direction.

I quite enjoy cereals that have a range of different ingredients - like oat clusters with freeze dried strawberry or museli with almonds and raisins. Over time though, the oats rise to the top and the smaller bits get trapped at the bottom so when you're near the end of the packet it's 70% dust.

Is there an easy way to prevent this? It's hard to mix up the contents without breaking up everything into smaller bits. And shaking up the packet just makes the separation worse.

Hi all, I have an interesting issue that I'm hoping can be solved. I have a pair of Anker Soundcore A40 earbuds and they connect fine to the Deck. However the Deck doesn't pick up on the microphone input at all - I've had a look under input devices and it fails to show up. Is there anything I can do (packages, drivers etc) to get this to work?

I don't tend to eat much fish, but in the supermarket earlier I saw some smoked salmon which didn't need cooking, and some salmon fillets which did. They looked the same really - both 'raw'. I decided to buy some of the fillet. It was nice, but a very different flavour from when I've tried smoked salmon in the past. The cooked fillet was quite chicken-y with a slight earthy/fishy taste, whereas smoked salmon has a very strong fish flavour.

Why do they taste so different? And why is smoked salmon safe to eat without cooking when other smoked fish do need cooking?

I'm not sure if this is something third party apps did previously, but there was a feature on the Reddit website itself that allowed you to create custom feeds. So I could categorise communities into say 'videogames', 'music' etc and view those specific feeds.

It would be especially handy to temporarily filter out for communities that have a high number of posts like 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone, as other communities tend to get lost when I'm looking at my normal subscribed feed.

I've got a spare Steam code for this game and I've already played it on Switch. It's a great pinball platformer game with a lovely soundtrack - I'd be super happy if someone else was able to enjoy it!

Choose a number between 1-100 and I'll use a number generator to pick a winner 6th July at 15:00 UTC (16:00 British Summer Time)

I always screw up the fan placement :') Took me a second to work out why it was flying weird!
