It’s libbed up over there for sure, but membership has more than doubled in the past couple weeks so maybe there will be a shift or at least little enclaves of cool people, similar to Twitter.

IUD insertion and removal is the absolute worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. That said, I love my Mirena so much I want to marry her. I am on my second one and will keep getting them until I’m through menopause.
The first go around, I just took NSAIDs beforehand and it was fucking brutal. Literal worst pain ever, could barely drive myself home, was lying in the fetal position in bed for 16 hours afterward regretting my choices. Had minor cramping a few days afterward and it took about 6 weeks for my periods to disappear forever. 10/10, never going back. But damn that one day sucked.
The second time, I requested a sedative and my NP is not a monster so she happily Rx’d 2mg of Ativan. I also took 1mg of Dilaudid my sister had left over from a past surgery AND 500mg ibuprofen. I had a friend drive me this time. Even with the benzo/opioid/NSAID combo I still screamed and cried in pain during and for 5 minutes after the procedure.
I love love love my IUD but we should be offered IV sedation at minimum.

It’s incredibly paternalistic! And these same women will (rightfully) shout “My body my choice” about abortion while failing to recognize that choosing to sell sex is also a body autonomy issue. I get to decide who I have sex with and what consent means to me for my own body. Other people do not get to weigh in on this!!!

I understand people’s frustration with seeing content they don’t want to see, especially when my colleagues spam their shit under unrelated posts. But the reason so many SWs resort to spam is that every platform deboosts us to the point that our own followers can’t see our posts.
I always follow platform rules regarding marking my content/profile sensitive, 18+, NSFW etc but every platform still restricts my ability to reach people who do want to see me!! We used to be able to just build a following organically because a lot of people on the internet actually do want to see tits and ass.
