Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a free class based shooter where one team had to do various objectives to get to the end of the map, and side objectives could give you an edge. Others could sabotage of take over the enemy outpost for quicker resource generation which translated to more healing, ammo, airstrikes etc.
Nowadays it's all death match or point capture with no skirmishing over a larger area at all. Shooters are bland as heck.
