I got there through yandex. Side note: I've been following the Ukraine Russia war from a propaganda perspective. It's been interesting watching tactics tested in Ukraine being polished in Israel

Duck duck go only told me about the guy resigning and that it was in relation to Oct 7. I had to go to a different search engine just to find out what you guys were talking about

There's a guy in there talking about how it doesn't matter if the founder of Azov was a white supremacist because he's toned down his rhetoric... Wtf

They've already started. They probably won't be bombing like gaza though.

It's the power dynamic. A person in his position is only going to behave like everyone else thinks is OK because of social norms, but at some point those norms don't apply. Just like no one's surprised that Peter thiel is a suspect for his boyfriend's death. Rich person does rich person thing and people are surprised? I just don't get the surprise part. Grohl has probably had ridiculous amount of people throwing themselves at him his entire life, and we're surprised that at some point he's caved in?

Any time someone/group gets as big as them speaking the way they do, it makes me wonder if they're doing a bit to corner a market. Capitalism WILL co-opt anything. Maybe they got caught up in it as well?

There's also not a lot of the Afghan excuses that can be used for Ukraine.

The lead singer, Dennis lyxzen went on to do the international noise conspiracy which had songs like 'capitalism stole my virginity'. Also, this album defined punk music for a decade. There was mainstream punk before and after. Then the guy does the next band which had the same kind of sound as the strokes before the strokes. Occasionally we'll get artists that can see how trends are going and ride those waves. These guys did it twice.

Seriously, check this guy and his projects out. He surrounds himself with people that get it, and he's about as revolutionary as musicians can be.

They wanted inc to be: 'a cross between Elvis Presley and Che Guevara.'

Yves hotdog... When I was a vegetarian 30 years ago, I really appreciated them. It let me eat hotdogs with family without me feeling like an oddity. The recipe hasn't changed. They were never good, but now there's options that are good, and culturally people are pretty OK with having veggie options now

This is the likely outcome. China would still make most of the parts, and they'll be assembled in Mexico. It's going to destroy US and Canada auto manufacturing. ... I live in Canada, and the writing is on the wall. Our entire economy relies on housing market go up. Canada is going to be 'third world' in 20 years. Pockets of good services surrounded by utter poverty.... I had brown outs this weekend. I live in a population center.
