Absolutely demonic

I wonder if mainstream media will report this part of the story, or just the part where they get their backsides beaten.

These are the people Biden pretends to want a two state solution with.

Utterly demonic settler behavior

Fash wouldn't pass up the opportunity to use slurs.

I'm reminded of that purge parody where the masked guy outside the black protagonist's house at the onset of the purge uses the n-word over the intercom camera and all his friends and himself are taken aback and he apologizes immediately.

I must not be that terminally online; who the heck is bongino?

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 14 points 1 day ago

I don't get it, aren't they going to upset their readerbase (whom i was assuming were reactionaries)?

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 11 points 1 day ago

The resistance really should just heavily mine these areas; make 'settler' a climate.

Hey, thanks for this; someone addressed a reply I made and said that Kamala and Biden 'made their calculus' on how many votes they'd get if they changed course on Israel vs if they stayed it and decided that continuing to support Israel would be better for them; this proves whatever 'calculus' they made (let's be real, they didn't calculate anything) was junk.

I'm back on reddit for one hour and I'm actually arguing with some of the stupidest people on the planet who keep pivoting back to blaming protesters and can't blame the DNC for even a single minute. So many people, so, so, so many people who all just want to blame the protesters and won't say a single word about how Biden and Kamala tanked their election.

They literally keep going back and talking about the protesters, literally, and LITERALLY won't say a word in their response in criticism of Kamala or Biden. This is utterly ridiculous; I left reddit initially because of the shocking amounts of bigotry and now I'm heading off again because these people are pigheaded children in response to people refusing to vote for genociders; they're literally mocking that the protesters are protesting and even claiming they're just doing it for tiktok and don't actually care.

These people are so hateful and vile. God I wish I could teleport them into Gaza.

Jacob "Reese's pieces" Mogg telling a black lady that people from the Carribean should be grateful for British colonialism and should pay them for everything the British did for them. I don't know who the lady is but that was an amazing response to a very old, very stupid question; myself and I would imagine most here would probably try to explain how idiotic and ridiculous the thought is but this lady had an elegant response (that he was quick to try and stop her from making you'll notice!)

Visiting reddit is....I mean these people really are located in their own echo chamber aren't they. The genocide was hardly unpopular with Republicans, but it was extremely unpopular among democrat voters and yet despite that she decided to dive headlong into defending it.

Gee, what could she have done to earn those voters to her side......let me think......MAYBE STOP SUPPORTING THE DAMN THING?!

Reagan and Bush, both REPUBLICANS, put in the effort to threaten Israel with cutting their support to them and they got results; the only reason I can see why the DNC would support the genocide is because there's something to gain, either that or ideological reasons.

Absolute idiots; they did this to themselves and now libs are upset with everyone but Kamala's own failures. You know what makes me angry? Just how deaf libs are to reason; they'll just tell one another it was everyone else's fault and, much like that failure Kamala, refuse to listen to the people desperately telling them why they're not voting for her WHO ALSO TOLD THEM HOW EASY IT WOULD BE TO GET OUR VOTES!

There was a tweet on the reddit front page that actually said Kamala lost because the uneducated voted for Trump. These people are lunatics.

I'm legit surprised no one pelted her with eggs and tomatoes (or would that carry a serious prison sentence?)

Maybe not whining this time; this time they'll commit to industrial level celebrating of murdered Palestinians because they're angry we failed/betrayed Kamala.

Before reading the quoted text: Billionaire Republican mega donor; he's definitely trash

After reading the quoted text: Hey, it was a safe bet!

Sadly I'm reminded of a few awful people in history (like people who hired violent/murderous strike breakers) who simply opened up places like libraries and now no one knows the bad stuff they did, or at best just call them 'controversial'.

Both Bush and Reagan at one point threatened to cut support of Israel if they didn't stop what they were doing and Israel complied.

Is it my imagination or is that number extremely low?

I predicted to the lib I work with that voter turnout this election would be far lower than last time and he was adamant that it would be high; it should be a lot higher if it's going to meet the numbers from four years ago, shouldn't it?

I expected it to be low but I didn't think it would be this bad; if this number doesn't spike it's going to be worse than 2016.

Even before October 7th, the list of journalists Israel had killed was longer than my arm:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_journalists_killed_during_the_Israeli%E2%80%93Palestinian_conflict

(this list does not include a large number of names prior to 2000; the first time I found this list it was a lot longer)

Post October 7th:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_journalists_killed_in_the_Israel%E2%80%93Hamas_war

If a journalist was to go to Gaza, the West Bank or even Lebanon and report on what the IOF was doing to people, the IOF would literally shoot them; and post October 7th they would literally drop a bomb on them, and if they brought their family they would kill their family too.

In Western countries the worst they can expect is only to lose their jobs; even in Israel itself they're not completely safe as I recall a Palestinian journalist who was beaten bloody by an IOF thug.

I've just seen a tweet about an IOF soldier harassing a person (family?) and telling them that this is his land, and before I could see more it just removed it right in front of me, and this isn't the first time an anti-Israel tweet has been removed from my home page right in front of me.

I know it also removes tweets I may not be interested in (no idea how it gauges that to be honest), but considering I check on anti-Israel content all the time, this absolutely would not fall under that; additionally people I'm actually FOLLOWING have their tweets disappear from my home page; why are people I'm FOLLOWING having their content be hidden from me?!

History repeats itself

Also looking up Southern Lebanese cities that Israel would have retreated from, I encountered this page about a 'detention' center (torture facility; content warning: descriptions of torture because Western secular liberal democracy):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khiam_detention_center

Gonna check the Hebrew version of this page and see what Israelis are saying was actually happening there.

EDIT: Translating the Hebrew to English, we get:

In southern Lebanon, there was a barracks of the French army which was built in the thirties. After that, the building was used by the Lebanese army, until it came under the control of the South Lebanese army. In 1985 it was converted to serve as a detention center, a prison and an interrogation facility until the withdrawal of the IDF from South Lebanon in May 2000 and the dissolution of the South Lebanon Army. After the withdrawal, Hezbollah turned the prison into a museum[1]. Prisoners who stayed in the prison reported harsh interrogations and the use of torture. Among other things, it was reported Confinement cells with a height of 0.7 meters and a floor area of 0.5 square meters, about confinement in perpetual darkness, and about whippings.

Al-Khyam prison also had a women's wing for female prisoners. The most famous prisoner in the prison was Suha Beshara who tried to assassinate the commander of the SDF, Antoine Lahad.

The prison building was destroyed by Israeli Air Force strikes during the Second Lebanon War.

The State of Israel denied direct involvement in the management of the prison and claimed that the facility was transferred to the authority of the South Lebanese Army in 1988. Before the prison was transferred to the responsibility of the South Lebanese Army, the IDF confirmed (in 1986) that an American citizen captured by the forces of the South Lebanese Army was transferred to Al-Khyam Prison and was interrogated in the camp by two SDF members and an Israeli investigator in order to ensure that the interrogated received proper treatment[2]. However, in the affidavit[3] given by Dan Halutz on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, he admitted to some involvement of Israel, including the payment of salaries to prison guards and staff and the training of investigators.

In 2022, following a petition by human rights activists to the High Court, the Shin Bet allowed the publication of documents including documentation of torture such as electrocution, starvation and denial of medical treatment. Additional documents that the Shin Bet allowed to be published in 2024 show that a member of the Shin Bet supervised the SDF investigators and guided them

HMMMMMMMM.........HMMMMMMMMMMM..........Very interesting wording and speculation here! Also the omitted quote from the English article!

I've been removing from my list of youtubers/streamers/etc anyone who backs genocide (basically a good way of filtering out liberals and reactionaries (same picture meme)), and looking up Eckhartsladder I found a protected tweet that google (and the replies to the tweet) seems majorly to indicate he's against the genocide, and has been so since as early as the 10th of October 2023.

(for that matter, how is mandaloregaming?)

I'd seen this clip before but didn't know what the man was saying; there's so much pain in the man's voice.
