P2w elements (being able to run your card for the best stuff etc or some sort of advantage or even to progress)

Passes that instill fomo (I like that halo infinite let's you complete old passes)

Requiring online connection

Unreasonably priced cosmetics (looking at you, New World)

When I was just a lad and beat Halo CE; Cortana says "Halo. It's finished", in response Chief says "No, I think we're just getting started", then he takes off his helmet but his face is obscured by the ship as the camera zooms out.. and the music from that moment and the entire game. That shit gave me chills and stuck with me since.
