You think this is bad, we recently had a high profile case in the UK finally overturn a law where people who were found to have been wrongfully imprisoned had fees deducted from their compensation to pay the prison service for their food and accommodation.

Imagine spending years of your life in prison on a false conviction and then finding out you have to pay the government for the privilege.

Also doesn't allow you to export so you can't switch to another service

Solution, don't have an address or talk to anyone ever, scavenge your own food.

Untraceable

I feel like that's more because you don't want websites you visit running code than because you dislike this particular programming language

Definitely agree the UK wouldn't get the same terms it had before but I think currency is probably something they could negotiate to keep.

The UK was before and hypothetically would be again one of the biggest economies in the EU and the politicians know what the symbolism of giving up currency would mean to the British.

I really just couldn't see them letting that stand in the way.

Having said all that, UK isn't going to be trying to join the EU for a while yet, if ever.

There isn't really an agreed definition of a continent.

Arguably Afro-Eurasia is all one interconnected continent

I live in the UK and can tell you conclusively that is not correct.

I agree that's how it should work, but that isn't how it works, at least in this country.

I'm talking specifically about your use of inside vs outside lane

What you're saying is logical but is the opposite way to how it actually works, at least in the UK but I believe elsewhere as well
