same, but a 1070ti
I'm running a 3060 on an ultrawide and it's fine as long as you aren't using ray tracing.
Edit: you can get away with ray tracing if you turn the distance down a good bit. Saw your other post in Linux gaming, I also run Linux and Windows side by side and this is referring to performance with both.
6600xt. Finally upgraded from my 980ti.
Same ish.... From a 1050 founders that had been bought as an emergency replacement due to funds... Then held onto for 3 years due to Bitcoin bullshit and then covid keeping me from trying to buy anything newer till the cost came down. To a 6750xt. Only because I found a two fan version the 6750xt mech x2. It's shorter length let me have quarter of an inch clearance at the front of my case. All the other 3 fan cards were to long to fit.
Honestly, anything semi-modern should work perfectly for you. Just make sure you have a power supply capable of your new card.
I'm using an AMD RX 6900XT. It is WAY overkill for just Minecraft. I would consider buying an AMD card if you want to save quite a bit of money.
@VHSJayden @ThirdNerd A very good graphics card isn't even needed for Minecraft. It is a CPU-heavy game.
1050, it runs at 60 fps so I am fine with it
im running a 1050 Ti! rocks
I think it would be useful for people to also say what version they're playing (Java or Bedrock). I'm using the intel integrated graphics to play java on my laptop and it's terrible unless I have 15 optimization mods installed.
But it does work with the mods!
I currently run with a good CPU and integrated graphics only and it does pretty good - except that I can't use shaders. Those kill me.
Using the integrated vega graphics on my laptop, works just fine in UHD
RTX 2080S
I get ~140 fps at QHD. I play with Iris Shaders, and with one of them, it looks good and I get about 130 fps. That shader does not enable raytracing.
GeForce GTX 1050. I get decent speed when running Bedrock. Java runs slow (like around 20 to 30 fps with a render distance of 8). You definitely want a better card than mine.
Is it really due to GPU bottleneck? I had a 1050TTi and it ran java fine at 60fps and 18 render distance.
NVIDIA (I forget the specs but I do know it’s really good)
