As we all know, large parts of the world will soon be facing water scarcity. It's a pretty big problem.

So are there any advances to deal with water scarcity? Where's the innovation happening in this area? Will it ever be affordable?

Can large countries (population) like China, India and Nigeria eventually solve their water scarcity issues with innovation? The problem is that it can't just be technically feasible, it also has to be affordable enough unlike desalination right now.
