On Reddit we have r/dvdcollection, r/boutiquebluray, r/4kbluray, r/steelbook, r/vhs, etc but let's start simply with a community to cover all the forms of home video collecting.

So, do you feel nostalgic for a format? Are you looking forward to a release? Heard any exciting news? Want to show us your shelves? Then post away.

It's bad enough that Disney's doing it, but Sony too? I extend my sympathy to the Aussies...looks like you guys will have no choice but to sail the seven seas for Sony films...

(Good thing 4K discs are region-free!)

Yar Har Fiddle Lee Dee! Do what you want cauz a pirate is free!

Don't want to take my money, fine, I'll keep it and watch your shit free with a better experience than you're willing to provide anywhere. Piracy is an accessibly problem, not a pricing issue.

As major studios retreat from Australia, this is bad news not just for Australian collectors, but every Blu-ray collector. Australian Blu-ray releases are frequently region-free, and publishers often put out inexpensive but high-quality releases for that market, some of which have gone out of production elsewhere.
