Red dead redemption 2 and AC black flag, Ive been looking forward to them for a couple years but i know i won't play them anytime soon,
Death Stranding
Far Cry Primal. Bought when it was on sale, kind of liked the premise of the game. Then Far Cry 5 has happened (hated it), saw the reviews of 6... Not sure I'd really ever gather the energy.
There are more than i can count, my steam library is filled with them. And i've come to the grim realization that i cannot clean this backlog ever. So instead of thinking about it and making myself feel bad about it, i just accepted i'll never gonna play them and just play whatever i wanna play at any time.
Only exception to this; as a hardcore lotr fan, i'll always regret not being able to play shadow of war. Because i already played it more than once by playing batman games and madmax and shadow of mordor. Because the gameplay mechanics are almost same except atmosphere of the those games.
Really thought I'd play AC Mirage but kept postponing it and will probably not play it because of mixed reviews.
I also thought I'd play the latest Tomb Raider trilogy. I have those games, played maybe less than half of the first one, tossed it away and then played a bit of the third one and tossed it again. It's just this Lara is not the same and I got annoyed with those games
Baldur’s Gate.
It’s just so overwhelming for me as someone who has never played that type of RPG before.
I just get into battle situations and feel like I have no idea what I am doing. The only RPGs I’ve ever played before are FPS (Fallout, TES) or turn-based (XCOM, Valkyria Chronicles).
Sucks because I know it’s meant to be amazing. Was the same with the Witcher 3.
DMC Collection + 5, Demon Souls and Nier Replicant. I know all of them are probably going to be fun to play with good stories but I keep getting distracted and forget them.
Mass Effect Trilogy. I had the 360 games for a while, and now I even bought the legendary edition (digitally). I loved Kotor and I know that I'd love ME, but I just don't have the time.
I gave up on Alien: Isolation just last week after starting it a few times over the last 5 years.
Starfield - boring, terrible
Arkham City - Unfocused, boring combat, can't remember the controls
FFXV - Boring, terrible
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Dishonored 2
Those have been on the back burner for so long and have been downloaded and uninstalled multiple times each... but not for a while.
All DMC, all Dark Souls, GOW, Elden Ring, Alan Wakes, Dishonored 1&2 and etc.. there are too many games to say but i like how those look and got games only for that reason but probably never gonna play those games.
There is quite a few but I am sure these two will make this community think I am a piece of shit lol.
Fall out New Vegas
Rainbow six Seige
Outer wilds. Played for about an hour and it didn't suck me in so I left it for when I'm in the mood. There was no save option, so I thought I'd just continue from where I left it or something...nope. I guess I'll never find out why it's a game worth playing.
Lol, DE:MD on mine, definitely!!!! I love the first one, loved HR, but I can’t seem to find the time or will to play MD.
Red Dead Redemption and Witcher 3
Yakuza series -- I own almost every game now because of sales and Humble Bundle monthly/choice. I feel overwhelmed by the huge time commitment to play all the games, so maybe that's why I usually stop playing after an hour or two of Yakuza 0.
Skyrim -- I still haven't finished Oblivion with all the expansions, so I keep putting Skyrim off. I also need to finish Fallout 4 too.
Shogun Total War II -- I loved the first Shogun but I don't know why I haven't played the sequel even though I've owned it for years.
GTA5 -- loved every GTA before it, but for some reason whenever I start the game up, I just turn it off after driving for a little while. Maybe I'm burnt out on the game's formula now?
Nier: Automata -- I keep hearing how awesome this game is, but maybe the hype is making me delay playing the game as I fear that it won't live up to the hype.
Master of Orion 1 /2 and Master of Magic -- I loved Civilization 1 to 3, but I grew up reading sci-fi and fantasy so I really want to like MOO and MOM but maybe it's time to accept the fact I'll never really play them. These games are really old now. I still own the original boxes and floppies for these games (although I have digital versions now).
Red Dead 2 and Witcher 3. So much hype around both and them also just being massive games intimidates me from ever trying to play them.
Elden Ring. Can't beat some boss.
Witcher 1 and 2. I joined the series after Witcher 3 came out and absolutely loved it! Even did a full death march run and carried it to NG+. Got the other 2 games dirt cheap but haven't touched em.
Freedom Planet 2. I liked the first Freedom Planet game, cheesy as it was sometimes. The Second game looks great, has rave reviews for such an indie title... but I've got such a backlog right now (HiFi Rush, No Straight Roads, The entire Metro Trilogy, etc) that I don't know if I'll ever get around to playing it.
Disco Elysium. Having to read all that text probably means I will just delay playing it forever.
FFXI. Probably would have played if that offline version came out, but now probably not.
Elden Ring and Disco Elysium
I bought a physical copy of Death Stranding on the cheap about two years ago. I haven't done so much as taken the game out of the case.
GTA4
I said what I fuckin said.
