Idk but it'd sure be nice if most games had easter eggs cuz they're really fun to find

letting me change settings before the game starts. Also showing what the setting does with a comparison image
Motor racing games should always support steering wheels.
Co-Op games that save progress across all players worlds, Souls games are especially bad for this. Having to beat the same enemy 3 times over feels super boring.
Good gameplay instead of graphics.
Making the server files public after the game has been discontinued so I can host my own God Dame server, full modding support (or at least don't make it a breaking of the tos)
Search functions in settings
Offline mode.
Should be a standard for single player games.
Allow offline LAN play for multiplayer games, and/or AI opponents.
Accessibility options of the kind seen in Sony's big exclusives. I don't have any meaningful disabilities that require accommodation but you can bet your life that I'll use the option that turns button mashing sequences into button holding sequences whenever it's available
Quality over quantity, im sick of all these games with 100h+ amount of content only for it to be bland, boring and repetitive but hey you can do fetch quests until your sanity breaks.
Fov sliders in fps games on consoles.
Grapple hooks. Every game is better by it. even if it's a bad grapple hook, it's still better than no grapple hook.
Limited sprinting when no enemies around
Any crafting heavy game that doesn't pull from nearby boxes is wasting my time
Allow all battlepasses since release to be accessible and can be bought with in game currency. Give an option to buy cosmetics (or similar to real money cosmetics) with hard earned in game currency.
no microtransaction in a paid game.
pay the dev a fair wage
stop using fomo
Quick Resume on all consoles, not just Xbox
Pausing all music if you alt-tab to the desktop. If I need to jump out of a game to do emails or something, I want to stop hearing the game music. Some games do it, some games don’t. Should be a standard to do it.
overall better treatment of game developers by both players (although usually the vocal minority) and the companies themselves
Getting straight into the game.
No cutscenes, no hand-holdy tutorials which prevent you from playing. Just open the game, maybe change some settings, and then start playing.
Good and dynamic ragdoll physics. They add a certain weight to the shooting and increases the replayability of games.
Npcs matching players movement speed
Accessibility settings for people with disabilities.
Adjustable text sizes, and even better, adjustable HUDs in general. Not every game can do this, but how FFXIV does it where you can adjust the size and placement of every piece of the HUD is a dream come true.
It's gotten better I feel like in the last couple years, but the switch from HD to 4K made all the text so freaking small I couldn't play anything on the TV in my living room and had to go sit close to a computer monitor instead.
Taking more risks. In the end we'd have more unique experiences
If your game has micro transactions/battle pass/online store or anything of that nature then it should be free to download and the player chooses how much money they want to invest in your game. If I pay for a game up front then I don't want to see a single online store in that game what so ever.
make a default graphical config + advanced option when needed
Some games options can't be changed even when these options are crucial for correct framerate ...
So extension of options should always be accessible through an advanced menu for fine tuning if needed.
Y button to jump. It seems wrong, but it makes more intuitive sense when you're using it

Fair salaries, no crunch, work/life balance, respect, less reliance on art tests(for artists), better hiring practices, faster hiring procedures, involving people relevant in the field in the actual procedures from the very start, removal of motivational letters, salaries clearly visible on job descriptions, actually relevant job descriptions...
No SBMM. It fucks up the entire community. Let me join a game with a dude who has 1000s of hours, that way I can learn what he does. It's also nice for the experienced players to be able to get into easy lobbies from time to time.
