Star citizen. I don't care if it's not done before I die. I love the fact it pushes boundaries like no other game, and I'm on for the whole ride.

I love every Dragon Quest but Builders 2 is just perfection that I keep going back to
Killzone 2.
Bioshock, have to do at LEAST an annual playthrough
Baldurs Gate 3
Every year or so I return to both Kotor games.
Path of Exile. New league, a thousand hours played, and still run the same build anyway
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door
Rimworld here, just too many different ways to start a run
DMC 3,4,5 , even after going through 1-5 getting getting platinum trophies in each i always find myself back on dmc out of all the other games in mi library doing another playthrough it's my comfort game when i want a challenge or when i just wanna chill and do cool combos
New Vegas.
Super Mario 64 it was my first game I ever played as a kid and holds a special place in my heart.
Waw
Haaa. At this moment in time, there is a pletra of MeteoidVania games to play. Yet everytime a newer Metroidmania game is refering to Symphony of the Night. I can't help myself to just quit the game i'm playing and go do a full playtrought of it. Only to remember myself not to buy any other MetroidVanias has it will only make me want to play this one instead.
This game is such a great experience at every level. Delightful.
Red dead 2 for me, its just the most immersive world and interactions with npc’s always feel so natural. I hop on single player every once in a while and just go fishing or hunting
It's far from perfect, but I haven't been able to stop playing Dead by Daylight for years now.
Tetris 99
I honestly play very little else on my Switch.
Hearthstone, and then specifically the Arena aka Limited mode
State of Decay
building a community & permadeath always bring me back & I make my own lore & backstories for my "survivors" which adds replay value
Finding new survivors or people to trade with
While also worrying about Violent groups that will say they want to "trade" then gun you down for your supplies and now you lost your best character & their gear
& must decide to go and recover the gear and risk more survivors or just cut your losses & leave it be
Sea of thieves!
It gets lots of hate, but it truly is a friendship pirate sandbox. If you play it for rewards it’s boring, but the glory and the stories are the reason to play
Counter-Strike
Death Standing. Just wandering around delivering packages is so relaxing and fun for me.
I don't really have any one in particular. There are a number of games that I return to and replay when there's nothing new to play, depending on what I'm in the mood for, but they're too numerous to list.
WoW vanilla
Warframe. It started off pretty bad because I was a noob but I love the game and I've gotten addicted to it multiple times along side burnouts
Runescape and or WoW, just great memories and it shaped my idea of the perfect mmo
Project Zomboid. It’s has an amazing vanilla game, but sprinkle in some mods, and you have endless fun.
Battlefront 1 - 2 (ps2) Watch those wrist rockets!
Bloodborne or Sekiro. I keep coming back to them every year.
Starcraft Brood War
Total War: Shogun 2
IMHO it was the perfect total war game.
I've tried so many others, but I just really dislike many of the mechanics introduced, and the ones removed, after Shogun 2.
The time period, the setting, the advancement and different strategies, I love it.
Its a game I keep coming back to.
Legend of Mana and Azure Dreams. Every year I do a run of one of them, just alternate so it's two years between runs of a game.
Diablo 2, patch 1.09 - Non Expansion.
I still play this on a private server (which has a lot of QoL stuff like pre-patch rare affixes and unique items) and it is pure rose-tinted goggles, but still just as amazing 20 years later. Just wish there was more people to PvP and do CS runs with
Monster Train
Ultima Online. 25 years so far. This is literally the only game of its kind, and I doubt there will ever be another like it. Sandbox MMO where you can own a house, steal, loot, craft, gather, grief, endless pvm and pvp. Everybody takes a break from it, but everybody comes back. 20 years of different guilds, drama, and community behind it. Many different servers for different eras of the game.
As I said, there's absolutely nothing else like it out there.
Fallout 4, Factorio
As far as games I can keep coming back to forever:
- Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4
- RDR2
- Skyrim
The game I can’t seem to actually stop playing once I start:
Cities: Skylines
It’s actually super addictive for me and starts to feel unhealthy after a while. I have ADHD and it seems to keep me overstimulated for hours on end. I love it
Just cause 3. A game that perfected the art of pure chaos and destruction.
Halo Infinite was fun to go back to now that it’s not like it was in the beginning
Path of exile, perfect arpg. Rust about as good as survival pvp gets and epic 7 my gatcha of choice
At any time there is usually 1 multiplayer shooter that I pick up and play for years. Right now that is Black Ops: Cold War.
