I was getting addicted to sleeping dogs. The story, side quests and especially the combat. I had to uninstall it because i was playing it too muchπ
Its far from perfect but the game is keep coming back to is both Osu and Rust. I cant shake these games no matter what.
Civ 5. I have 6 but i always find my friends and I playing a civ 5 game at least once a year.
spelunky, lots of older fighting games like sf3, kof 98, garou, last blade etc. metal slug. basically almost all the good neogeo games. and from more modern times the division 2
League of legends. I love the competitive side and the Champs while also being toxic can be an awesome environment. Skyrim would be my single player. The fantasy world with so much to do. The music and feel to the game is so calming. Also.. flipping inigo!
Any souls title.
Nioh 2, reminds me of a more sophisticated ninja gaiden I had for original xbox and surprisingly NFS heat, reminds me of both nfs most wanted and nfs carbon both my favorite. Just hit over 800 hours for both of these.
It's Minecraft for me. Idk why it's just perfect for my tastes.
Halo ce alone is incredible but with the mods on steam workshop there's even more to experience
7 days to die
Look, it's far from a perfect game. I and every other fan will tell you that. It's an FPS game that's basically mine craft with "realistic" graphics, and a goal: survive the zombie horde
It just hits a lot of points for me. There's creative building, but with much more purpose than in mine craft. Every 7 day, a massive horde of zombies tries to wreck your shit, so you must build a base to withstand that
There's a lot of knowledge of zombie behavior and design principles that go into bases that can survive modded hordes (Darkness Falls as an example). There are bases that force zombies to crouch for easy headshots, bases that line up zombies in single file as they run at you, bases that are just a fortified bunker you can shoot out of. You can set up multiple parts of the base so that you can direct the flow of zombies to where you want. There's an array of traps you can deploy, and different wiring elements can deploy the same teap in multiple ways
I'm on a time crunch. I'm not exploring the world just to look around, I'm not building a base because it's cool, I'm doing it so the zombie horde doesn't tear my head off. Which I like, I like having extrinsic goals and deadlines
Throw it all together, and there's really nothing like it
The game of keeping my life in order π
Teamfight Tactics. My brain loves how fiddly and synergistic it is, and the lack of any narrative arc means that even if I get burned out, I can come back to it any time and not feel like I've missed/forgotten anything. Plus it plays on either desktop or mobile, and I use both extensively. Also fun to play while high or sober, which is great.
Dawncaster on mobile. Again, fiddly and synergistic with no need to pay attention to the story and the ability to drop it for long periods of time and come back with no downside.
The Forest
Factorio. Mods make it a game you can play for hundreds or even thousands of hours.
Bloodborne. I disliked Elden Ring with a passion. But I always enjoy running a few random chalice dungeons.
The Division 2
Persona 5
Powerwash Simulator. I may play other games, but any time I quit those other games I almost always load this up.
I've become heavily invested in Dark tide lately. I find myself just jumping on to catch a match every once in a while, which sadly is at least 20-30 minutes. But still. Lovely game to feed that old school waw zombies itch.
Diablo 2
Baldur's Gate 3. I have other things I want to play but, I keep rolling back to it
Hitman 1,2,3
Skyrim used to be my repeat game, but I believe Cyberpunk 2077 has taken the spot now. I just love everything about it, even when I was disappointed with its initial release I still liked it a lot. Now that theyβve really polished it off and everything I love it even more.
Factorio
Rimworld.
BG3
I don't know about being perfect but I've definitely spent entirely too much time on GTA 5 and Stardew Valley.
Those two seem to never leave my hard drive.
At any time there is usually 1 multiplayer shooter that I pick up and play for years. Right now that is Black Ops: Cold War.
