Zelda ToTK, Diablo 4, and Starfield suck.
Please someone correct if I’m wrong but didn’t half of these games have major issues on release?
No not at all really. Almost all ran fine upon release.

Many of these games aren’t particularly interesting to me. The best years in gaming are gone, as innovation became replaced with reiteration and monetization.
I don’t think we’ll get many games ever again as iconic as games like
Chrono trigger Final fantasy 7 Super Metroid F zero GX Halo 3 Portal 2 Ocarina/Majoras Mask KOTOR Diablo 2 Tetris Pokemon gold/silver Banjo kazooie
Etc etc
Idk man, CS2 isn't a new game, it's just an update for CSGO basically. Not only that, it is kind of a downgrade in terms of content, still lots of maps and game modes missing.
Cyberpunk 2.0 doesn't really count imo. I wouldn't say releasing a broken game and only now fixing it is great for gaming. Don't get me wrong, cyberpunk is amazing, but it didn't release like this, like of should have.
Jedi Survivor was also released in a very broken state.
Starfield and Hogwarts legacy aren't that great honestly. They are kind of painfully mediocre. Definitely plenty of fun to be had, but both are rather shallow experiences.
Not a bad year at all, but the golden age of gaming is absolutely over.
easily 1998 or 1999.
Don’t forget Redfall and Gollum! Those were the real stars of 2023!
In the past 20 years I would say it doesn't even break top 5. I can confidently say 2004, 2007, 2011, 2017, and 2018 were all better.
It wasn't a bad year but it wasn't anything special either imo.
Remove all the games that were unfinished on release
You forgot Pikmin 4.
Baldur's Gate 3 carrying 2023 on its back
Great year for gaming, and one of the worst years for Game Developers.
2002, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2015 were my personal favorites.
I liked 2019 myself.
Op is 13 y old. Change my mind.
You nailed it 🤣🤣🤣
