Yes even better than 2007, which gave us great titles like Mass Effect, Halo 3, Cod4, Assassins Creed, Mario Galaxy, team Fortress 2, Guitar Hero 3, Crackdown, Bioshock, Skate, Uncharted, the darkness, the Witcher, portal, rock band, crysis

Holy sh. Maybe not. But it's close.

In 2023 we got:

Remnant 2

Baldurs gate 3

Zelda ToTK

Re4 Remake

Dead Island 2

Cyberpunk 2.0/Phantom Liberty

Street Fighter 6

Diablo 4

Spiderman 2

Mario Wonder

Dead Space remake

Hogwarts Legacy

Returnal

Atomic Heart

Lies of P

Last of us Part 1 remaster/remake

Jedi Survivor

Gta 6 announcement/trailer****** (huge)

Final Fantasy 16

Starfield

Mortal Kombat

Counter Strike 2

Skull Island Rise of Kong

RoboCop

Alan Wake 2

Okay. Actually maybe not. Too many remakes/remastered games. But if it's not #1 it's easily #2. Such a great year.

Idk man, CS2 isn't a new game, it's just an update for CSGO basically. Not only that, it is kind of a downgrade in terms of content, still lots of maps and game modes missing.

Cyberpunk 2.0 doesn't really count imo. I wouldn't say releasing a broken game and only now fixing it is great for gaming. Don't get me wrong, cyberpunk is amazing, but it didn't release like this, like of should have.

Jedi Survivor was also released in a very broken state.

Starfield and Hogwarts legacy aren't that great honestly. They are kind of painfully mediocre. Definitely plenty of fun to be had, but both are rather shallow experiences.

Not a bad year at all, but the golden age of gaming is absolutely over.
