I can't believe that we have reached the point as a civilization where I'm legitimately not sure whether or not this was intended as satire.

[–] Jaytreeman@kbin.social 56 points 10 months ago

It's an account with a lot of bad jokes with some gems dropped in.

Poe's law in action

[–] Toneswirly@lemmy.world 67 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It's a parody account you guys...

Brilliant satire, but Poe's Law seems to be in full effect.

Glad there is a chance for humanity after all.

I should send my landlord one of those church fake bills, but with “get a real job” instead of a church info

[–] whileloop@lemmy.world 57 points 10 months ago (1 children)

You'll get your rent when you fix this ****** door.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 54 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Well, there's your problem. The door is made of asterisks, when it should be made of door.

[–] SnipingNinja@slrpnk.net 3 points 10 months ago

I'm imagining a door made from many tiny doors (like pet doors but smaller) and it sounds terrible

[–] cumcum69@lemmy.world 40 points 10 months ago

i'd happily tip my landlord over the side of a building

What? We already give our whole paychecks to our landlords. How could we possibly give them more?

If landlords aren't happy with the rent they receive, they need to get a real job and work their asses off every day all day long like everybody else does.

[–] alphapuggle@programming.dev 35 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The Twitter account is a meme account, they don't actually expect you to tip your landlords, although I've seen landlords that do expect such.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

Yeah I gathered it was satire, but the mere thought of it made me jump straight to interpreting it as reality because I wouldn't be surprised if some landlords do feel that way!

[–] thorbot@lemmy.world 37 points 10 months ago

I’ll tip them into a fucking ditch, sure

[–] Fades@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago

[–] thorbot@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Pics for proof?

[–] Bye@lemmy.world 14 points 10 months ago

If my tenants tipped me I’d be pretty offended and would just count it against their next rent payment

Like you wouldn’t tip your doctor or your lawyer or your mechanic, what the fuck is this shit

[–] I_am_10_squirrels@beehaw.org 13 points 10 months ago

I'll tip you negative $1000

[–] NKVDawg@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 10 months ago

How about they tip me? They tip waiters, but not the people who give them free money every month.

[–] spittingimage@lemmy.world 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

This man is Indian from the chin up and the shoulders down. In between he is pure brass.

[–] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)
