I never skipped the Succession intro. The combination of really interesting video footage and that incredible music just hit perfectly.

Succession

Same goes for Scrubs. I love the way the characters change throughout the short intro, and the song has gone on to be one of my absolute favourites.

Yeah, awesome music. Lately I also enjoyed Foundation's intro. Those beats with the ships warping in are awesome.

I can never skip that opening. On the few episodes they decided to shorten it I would let out an “aw, damn”.

All of the Spielberg-produced cartoons from the 90s had boppin' themes. Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Pinky & the Brain... not sure those theme songs have ever left my head.

Night Court has one of the best intros ever.

Bojack Horseman’s title sequence is an absolute triumph. The transitions are wonderfully surreal and perfectly executed, and the soundtrack fits it perfectly while being an amazing piece of music on its own.

A lot of my favorites are from shows long past. The original Hawaii Five-O theme is absolutely prefect for the show. Mannix, Barney Miller, and Mission Impossible all had music that was great in its own right.

Somewhat more recently, the West Wing and Firefly themes were outstanding.

My favorites from the last few years are Game of Thrones and Daredevil. One of my favorite commentary tracks ever features the child actors who played Sansa, Arya, and Bran on Game of Thrones singing along with the introduction.

A lot of these I didn't skip because they were really good or they captured the aesthetic nicely, pulling me into the show. Roughly in order:

Daredevil, I still get chills watching it

Severance

Altered Carbon

Scrubs, short but I loved it over time

Sherlock

Foundation

For all Mankind

Power

It’s hard to imagine anything else but Magnum PI qualifies as the best theme song https://youtu.be/xIaXl7SqkBw?si=_0AfxjLpgmPCWHS0

I dunno. I might take nightrider over that for that vein of intro.

Deep Space Nine, TNG, Voyager

DS9 has great music, TNG is iconic, Voyagers visuals are great and the music is fine, too.

For me:

Babylon Berlin intro captures the art, the deco, the decadence and the fear of what the viewer knows is going to come of that time period.

Black Sails just perfect

Raised by Wolves I was hit and miss on this in many ways, but this intro is great - albeit I think slightly misleading as to its overall tone.

Pennyworth I thought S1 was a bit silly, but what an intro.

Warrior

Happiness This is just fun, and fits the show brilliantly

See also isn't bad

Song of the Bandits The song on the YT video isn't great here imo, but they actually mix it up in the show proper and use different songs. And some really fit the theme.

If we're talking about music in general through the show rather than just the intro - The Korean High Fantasy series Arthdal Chronicles. Some stunning, music, throughout, the show. It was also kinda like watching a JRPG (even if Korean).

Cool thanks for the share. Good way to get to know new series.
