It follows a crew of a damaged deep space freighter who are stranded on a beautiful but dangerous planet.

Beautiful animation and wildly imaginative. The story probably won't blow your mind but the alien world might! I certainly enjoyed it and consider it one of the more interesing SciFi shows released lately.

Aw yeah this went straight up as one of my favorite shows. The horror elements in it are just insane. One of the most tense things I've ever seen.

I just finished it. I love how different it is.

Love it. Levi is my favorite. What a fantastic show. I hope they get to make a second season…

Shows like this continue to convince me that animation is the way to go for sci-fi and fantasy. Why spend tons on live-action actors and cgi for a show or movie to just look dated a decade later when you could just stylize the shit out of cartoon like this? Like imagine how good the GoT adaptation could have been if they would have given us a cartoon way closer to a 1:1 adaptation. I know animation can be expensive too, I just think it’s money better spent.

I've been looking forever for something similar to the world in Nausicaa. Finally found it here! And so many references to Nausicaa too it clearly was a big influence. I haven't been so happy with the world of a show in a long time

I was totally expecting Azi to do a Akira-slide at some point.

It's like if you took Moebius art and turned it into a series and combined a little Akira in there. Just absolutely fantastic show. Real mind bender.
