Old movies and audiobooks is exactly the reason why I have archive.org in Prowlarr

Oh shit, didn't know you could do that
Thank you for this tip!!!
Prowlarr?
Indexer manager for the *arr stack of software. Alternate to Jackett.
I don't know any of those applications, but I'll do my homework.
Radarr - Manages Movies
Sonarr - Manages TV Series
Lidarr - Manages Music
Prowlarr - Manages torrent and usenet indexers for the above three
Each of these are used to automate media collection by searching indexers for torrents and nzbs matching media you've added to your library, pass them to your download client(s), and sort the resulting downloads into your media folders renaming them accordingly.
They can monitor rss feeds and perform regular searches to find newly released/added media, upgrade existing files to better quality ones, or simply monitor for things that hadn't been found previously. They can also monitor lists from imdb to automatically add media to your library.
The seas have never been finer 🏴☠️
Unbelievable! Thanks for the info!
know any good guides for the brand new baby pirates?
Can't seem to get qbit and any of the ARRs to sail together
Indexer for Radarr/Sonarr etc look it Up, they're great
Will do!
The law is tricky. From Wikipedia "For works that received their copyright before 1978, a renewal had to be filed in the work's 28th year with the Copyright Office for its term of protection to be extended. The need for renewal was eliminated by the Copyright Renewal Act of 1992, but works that had already entered the public domain by non-renewal did not regain copyright protection."
I love ninety-ies movies
…aaand it’s gone
Yeah wtf. How'd the DMCA bots find these posts :(
If you think DMCA bots aren't trawling around in open piracy forums then I've got some swampland to sell you in Florida.
I've got some swampland to sell you in Florida.
But don't worry, it comes with a bridge!
It's pretty easy to come across ©️🏴☠️, even roms and full games in some cases
"In some cases"
Entire romsets for basically every console.
Yes and no. My daughter was trying to find Wii games with very little luck. Fortunately I have a bunch tucked away.
Vimm.net has a huge archive of ROMs and I can see Wii counted among them.
Warms my heart to see that site still relevant after probably twenty years.
Yeah I didn't want to say much to draw attention to it, but it does have the best Wii game ever (even though it doesn't list it in the top 10, which is criminal).
Here is an alternative Piped link(s):
Piped is a privacy-respecting open-source alternative frontend to YouTube.
I'm open-source; check me out at GitHub.
This is from /r/roms
https://r-roms.github.io/megathread/nintendo/
Has links to Nintendo games there and also shows archive.org source for them too.
Pretty cool. I was looking up nes games recently, turns out there are still people making games for the platform, open source and on GitHub!
There's a wiki of the high seas that may help find a certain archive.
Where the db is, I have zer0 clue.
You’re allowed to say the naughty thing out loud here. And since I have no clue what your comment is referring to, that would be helpful in fact. (Googling “db zer0” got me music-related stuff.)
I think he is referring to my home instance - lemmy.dbzer0.com
Oh shit, I didn't see what comm we're in.
Piracy Wiki/megathread. There's an archive in the Roms section that you can find Wii .isos on. Every one I've tried has been clean.
Are you still having a hard time locating a specific one? Let us know!
No it's all very, very good :)
I get my mame ROMS (and most others too) from them. I’ve also found movies and some other content. Their torrents max my line (1 Gbps).
Speaking of movies from the 90s, we just watched The Crow on Halloween (Devil's) night, and that movie is definitely a John Wick prequel.
RIP Brandon Lee. So sad
I remember seeing that movie when I was a kid, I also remember liking it a lot but can vaguely remember anything. Does it still hold up ?
I was really worried that it wouldn't hold up, but it does! It holds up well.
Love your username. I'm Kiazi's children, their faces wet, every time I watch that ep.
Temba, his arms wide!
Prequel in spirit or are the events tied in?
I just mean that the style of the movie is heavily copied by John Wick.
I think I remember an interview where Keanu openly states that The Crow, and a few other classics were the inspiration for JW. Mission Impossible, and The Boondock Saints would also be candidates.
Re. Your Username: Darmock, his gas tank empty.
That's heckin cool. I'll see if I can find that interview.
Any random internet users can create an account and upload stuff to the internet archive. Just be careful when you download softwares there.
Damn its gone now.. I really think we need to backup IA. Contents frequently disappear because of copyrights..
Yes, it's quite crazy. I found archive of old comics, the entire series of Outer Limits (1995), all ScummVM games, tons of ROMS, and books, a lot of books.
1994 flintstones was amazing
