This won't go anywhere. Doesn't he have diplomatic immunity since he is the Crown Prince of Denmark?
He was actually the first black astronaut and also invented the light bulb. Give this man his due respect!
I'm tired of seeing this deuce with articles like "George Santos faces arrangement..." or "George Santos new legal problems..."
I want to see a headline like "George Santos faces new challenges with his cellmate Fat John"
Speak for yourself. I'm happy to see his case moving forward, and I don't want to hear about this fucker past when the judge says the word "guilty."
Not to be a downer but I'd like to help you brace yourself for the coming Santos reality show/hosting/podcast gigs (~5-10 years away of course.)
Sure, but he'll probably be on the same circuit as Alex Jones, and he'll be forgotten by all but the True Believers.
Not saying that, it's just so slow and I don't see him in jail yet
"The gears of justice grind slowly but finely."
I like the quote...
With that said, I guess the ones for Trump are the finest gears ever made
Broadly speaking, now that the prosecutors have the body of evidence and considering what they're trying to establish, they're moving relatively quickly for legal cases.
It's worth remembering, too, that except for the fraud case, a lot of his criminal conduct is novel. No president in the history of the US has done what he has done, so there's little to no past precedent that could help speed things up.
Knowing republicans, they will still vote for this fraud. At this point republicans exclusively vote for fraudsters and traitors.
And he is still in congress, voting
Huh, this guy might not be on the up and up.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — U.S. Rep. George Santos is set to be arraigned Friday on a revised indictment accusing him of several frauds, including making tens of thousands of dollars in unauthorized charges on credit cards belonging to some of his campaign donors.
The New York Republican was scheduled to appear at a courthouse on Long Island to enter a plea to the new allegations.
He has already pleaded not guilty to other charges, first filed in May, accusing him of lying to Congress about his wealth, applying for and receiving unemployment benefits, even though he had a job, and using campaign contributions to pay for personal expenses like designer clothing.
He has denied any serious wrongdoing and blamed irregularities in his government regulatory filings on his former campaign treasurer, Nancy Marks, who he claims “went rogue.”
She told a judge when she recently pleaded guilty to a fraud conspiracy charge that she had helped Santos trick Republican party officials into supporting his run for office in 2022 through bogus Federal Election Committee filings that made him look richer than he really was, partly by listing an imaginary $500,000 loan that had supposedly come from his personal wealth.
During his successful 2022 run for office, Santos was buoyed by an uplifting life story that was later revealed to be rife with fabrications.
The original article contains 373 words, the summary contains 223 words. Saved 40%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
