The worst thing that ever happened to crypto was its price skyrocketing. It lost its utility for payments when everyone decided it was an asset and too valuable to spend.

Also, kids here on student visas now have to face the very real possibility they will get revoked and deported on a whim.

If this is the last dance for democracy in America, a small part of the blame wil go not only to Biden for not leaving at the right time, but also RBG. Her insistence on not resigning during Obama's term, while Democrats held the Senate, enabled this, too.

Right, but every seat Democrats manage to siphon away is one less vote in support of fascism. And House Republicans do a lot of internal fighting. I will laugh out loud if they can't pick a speaker again, and it somehow affects the timeline for counting the EC votes.

I wonder if this will make it into the Senate Confirmation Hearings when Trump makes him Secretary of Making Things Worse Before They Get Better. (Or maybe they are smart enough to not give him a job that requires Congressional approval....)

I call that "God's ultimate veto"

That assumes there are no shenanigans with those elections. I believe we will have them (edited to clarify: I believe we will have elections as well as election shenanigans.) We'll just have to see how fair they are.

We will know that is happening if there is ever a real movement to abolish the UN Security Council, or at least the permanent seats that have veto power. Until then, the US will always have that power.

Maybe I can pump another 10x out of my Crypto portfolio and retire early.

All I know is he's smarter than you or I am. I have no illusions that Trump will ever get what he deserves, but I'll at least wait to see what actually happens in that filing before raging.
