It's fractured... but whole

We need the stick of truth!

Oh look, the advertisement technique of making a funny mistake to boost it's popularity.

[–] Xanvial@lemmy.world 58 points 1 year ago (2 children)

It's intentional actually, you can check other titles of that game series https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratchet_%26_Clank#Games

[–] Diabolo96@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 1 year ago

I meant the tweet but yeah, these titles are interesting to the say the least.

[–] Klear@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

That's amazing.

[–] Skellexon@lemmy.world 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't care if it's intentional, it's funny and made me exhale out of my nose. That's all I care about

[–] Flaky@iusearchlinux.fyi 13 points 1 year ago

and as another person said, it's in line with how Ratchet & Clank games were titled.

They need to return to the double entendre tittle's

[–] Sneptaur@pawb.social 35 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you not understand that that’s what rift apart is. I mean come on. A CRACK in time, TOOLs of destruction, up your arsenal, etc

[–] MudMan@kbin.social 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'll admit I had to get "Rift Apart" explained to me, too.

[–] Sneptaur@pawb.social 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I still don't get "Into the Nexus", it just seems like a sci-fi name for something. I just got the platinum for crack in time and that was a great time.

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Damn dancing trophy never popped for me in four playthroughs.

[–] Sneptaur@pawb.social 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Thankfully for crack in time you don’t need all the skill points to get the platinum trophy. I know you need the dancing thing for the PS4 game though.

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Oh yep I probably have them switched

[–] x4740N@lemmy.world 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Didn't know you could rip a fart so powerful it rips apart space time

[–] Flaky_Fish69@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago

Well... you haven't met Kyle. When he lets one rip... everybody in the room teleports outta there. dude should ask his doctor about lactose intolerance...

Is that the Samsung drawer I see on the top left of the screenshot?

[–] Ataraxia@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lol why is it visible. Mine is completely transparent.

[–] roon@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

It's supposed to hide itself during screenshots

It was actually the original working title. Unfortunately they changed it close to launch. It was meant to match titles like Up Your Arsenal, Going Commando etc

The old titles also had a double entendre.

[–] cirkuitbreaker@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Into the Nexus' original working title was The Nether Regions.

I thought the original working title of Rift Apart was Rift You A New One?

[–] BellaDonna@mujico.org 2 points 1 year ago

I've heard both, because Rift Apart was supposed to be a play on Ripped a Fart - I 100% remember reading that last year and have privately called it the same since hearing that.

I do remember Nether Regions though as well.

[–] Heavybell@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's a good game. Played it on steam.

[–] AceFuzzLord@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

If I had a better desktop or a laptop with better specs, I'd definitely be willing to give it a try.
