Surely most people have an HD television regardless of its size and people are still happy to watch DVDs?
Home Video (VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, 4k)
On Reddit we have r/dvdcollection, r/boutiquebluray, r/4kbluray, r/steelbook, r/vhs, etc but let's start simply with a community to cover all the forms of home video collecting.
So, do you feel nostalgic for a format? Are you looking forward to a release? Heard any exciting news? Want to show us your shelves? Then post away.

They're cheap and people may only have DVD players even if their telly is fancy.
I have 3 DVD drives and 1 dedicated DVD player. Meanwhile I have nothing that does BluRay.
Also, DVDs get really cheap.
I don't use a TV to watch them, but a laptop. A cheap laptop. That screen barely has colors, so the resolution isn't such a problem. The only movie where it bothered me was Martian. The text size made it unreadable on 576p.
Lastly, they are small (data-wise). This means I can just copy them as ISO files onto my phone.
