The onions for the hot dogs at the food court. I haven't bought a hot dog ever since they went away.

[–] ImFresh3x@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They’re back. You have to ask for them

[–] Mutelogic@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Oh really?! Thanks for the pro tip. I hope I don't look like a desperate fool tomorrow..

I was at Costco a few weeks ago and saw someone pull out a small sandwich-sized bag of diced onions for their hot dogs.

I don't have that level of planning or commitment, so I applaud this anonymous hero.

Last I saw they were back, at least at my local Costco

[–] DucktorZee@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

And sauerkraut

Combo Pizza. Fucking loved the combo pizza.

Chocolate/vanilla twist frozen yogurt from the food court. Mine only has vanilla now :[

I brought the most comfortable and warm jumper from there (funnily enough in the middle of summer) haven't seen it being sold there since and it has been a year and a half. If I see them again, I'm buying 10 of them.

My Costco in Michigan always had big blocks of Tillamook sharp white cheddar. My Illinois one never does. :(

The big jars of Bonne Maman mixed berry jam. Can't find them anymore.

[–] hatmix@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

They still have them at the Raleigh, NC store. I saw pineapple passion fruit there for the first time yesterday.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

Austin still has these. I wish they carried the raspberry.

Growing up my family would get a box of bagel dogs every once in a while. To my teenage self those were just about the best thing ever.

[–] JeremyT@lemmy.teaisatfour.com 2 points 1 year ago

More recently missing the berry smoothie.

[–] shoephones@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I've worn the same Grey socks for decades. I found out the last time I went that they weren't there anymore. Very upset.

Red velvet cupcakes.

[–] teacs@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Veggie pizza 😢

[–] timwilson@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Diet Coke. I’m still bitter about the switch to Pepsi in the food court.

The BBQ sandwich with coleslaw in it. Amazing and wish they brought that back!

[–] AngryHumanoid@reddthat.com 2 points 1 year ago

The big bags of P.B. Bites they used to have. I don't care if inflation made em expensive and they're worried about sticker shock, the little cups of them they have at the grocery store are tiny and useless I tell you!

[–] emoknapsack@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Very recently I fell in love with the Bequet salted caramels but they must have been a limited time item because they don’t have them anymore. They were so good!

[–] BrownSkittle@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

This might be nostalgia talking, but I liked having the photo center. Maybe they could do a small updated one in their stores?

The food court choices that went away because of the pandemic. But, before that, polish sausages.

[–] LordofBrooms@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I miss the combo pizza so much ;(

[–] Gunna@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So I don’t get it, what caused these menu items to go away related to the pandemic?

[–] edgarh@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

During the pandemic, there were many supply chain shortages. Unfortunately, this included many of the ingredients for certain products. The products remained unavailable for a good while, but were never brought back.

Chicken Mini Tacos, they were great as a snack or a meal

[–] skepticalifornia@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Around 2019, my local Costco had these frozen, pre-cooked beef ribs in a box, located close to the frozen pizzas that were phenomenal - throw them on the grill for a few minutes, and it was like sitting down in the best BBQ restaurant.

After about 6 months, they just weren’t there any longer and I still look to see if they will reappear but no luck so far. I can’t remember the brand name…

[–] cousinofjah@twit.social 1 points 1 year ago

@LordofBrooms Italian sausage in the food court, for sure!

[–] Cevilia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Chocolate granola squares.

They were like flapjacks, but better!

[–] KlugeMaster@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Chocolate cake. The cupcakes are good, but the cake was great.

Kirkland Signature Aronia Berry Juice Cocktail

That shit was bomb with Cheez-Its

[–] gvsteve@lemm.ee 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Kirkland disinfecting wipes, the big ones, slightly rough Tencel cloth (good for scrubbing), in the soft pack. They have been gone since Covid.

The Clorox ones are too small, don’t scrub well, and don’t dispense well from the hard plastic canister.

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

Keep in mind a lot of these wipes are made from polyester, which doesn’t biodegrade.
