I would prefer that upvotes be colored Orange and downvotes in blue. So it matches other clients and how Reddit does it.

But overall this app is kick-ass! Fast and responsive.

No. I prefer Lemmy having its own identity, not trying to copy Reddit.

I'm not really feeling that. This isn't Reddit.

You get used to it 😄

Orange is orange in Apollo because it’s consistent with Reddit.

Blue is blue in wefwef because it’s consistent with lemmy

Blue = good, red = bad makes sense to me. I assume Reddit went that way because of their branding, I personally think it's nice that it's exactly the opposite of Reddit. I say let it stay!

I'd love the option to choose different colors for votes, but please don't try to force Lemmy to be like Reddit. I came here specifically to avoid Reddit.

Better idea: Allow users to set up how they want the scheme to be

Yes, exactly!

Yup, I've been using Lemmy religiously for days now and the voting colours still irks me. An option to change their appearance would be wonderful. Funnily enough I think originally subreddits like mildly infuriating did the same to, you know, infuriate the users.

Can we ban any requests that include "how reddit does it"?

This has been bothering me since day 1, I would be so happy if this happens!

I’m guessing the dev might need to change some things to avoid being an exact copy of Apollo, just in case there is ever some legal case?

Can we ban any requests that included "how reddit does it"?
