Wig advice? (beehaw.org)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by gaytswiftfan@beehaw.org to c/mtf@lemmy.blahaj.zone

I'm looking into purchasing a wig (Ive had human pattern baldness since age 20 unfortunately) and I'm feeling a taaaaad overwhelmed with the amount of options and I'm terrified of ordering one and it's low quality.

I wanna spend the money to get something human hair, lace front, and dark dark brown โ€” but not super super expensive ! that said do you girls have any site recommendations or general advice?

Download a hairstyles app on your phone, and experiment to get a idea of what rough direction you want to go in, e.g. color, length, etc.

Take a snapshot of what you want to look like, and go to a wig store, show them what you want, and try some wigs in real life.

They've seen it all, so don't feel embarrassed.
